Study smell test

Most people who quote a study read the title, maybe the conclusion, and then hold an opinion. This walks through the questions that actually decide whether a paper supports the claim being made with it. It does not grade the study, because a number would just become another thing to quote.

Write the claim as it is actually being made, not as the paper phrases it. The gap between the two is usually the whole problem.
