Measured, not remembered

Health data

I entered the Longevity World Cup, an open competition that ranks people by how far a biological-age clock puts them under their real age. Mine puts me 2.8 years over it. Everything here carries a date, and anything I have not measured says TBD.

How the number is calculated

Pheno Age is a regression from Levine et al., 2018, fitted to mortality data. It takes nine blood values plus chronological age and returns a number in years. Above your real age means the panel looks like an older person’s; below means younger.

It knows nothing about me that is not in those nine values, and it cannot tell the difference between aging and having a bad night.

Pace of aging is 1.11 years per year. The site computes my acceleration against a chronological age carried to a decimal, which is why it reads +2.8 rather than the +3.0 you get from 29.0 minus 26.

The nine markers

Drawn 6 July 2026 1 month old Non-fasting Lab: TBD Hospital admission at 22:33, not a planned longevity panel

MarkerValueUnitReference
Albumin43g/L36–48
ALP61U/L35–105

CRP Censored on the report. The clock needs a number, so it went in at the bottom.<1mg/L<5

Lymphocytes derived 1.2 ÷ 10.9. The report gives counts, the clock wants a percentage.11.0 below range%20–45
MCV94fL82–98
RDW13.0%11.5–14.5
WBC10.9 above range10³ cells/µL3.5–10.0
What is moving the number
  • White cell count 10.9 → 6.0−3.0 years
  • Lymphocytes 11.0% → 30%−2.5 years
  • Both at once−5.5 years

Not a hidden better score. A raised white count with a flat CRP is a body under acute stress, which is what the clock is reading. This entry is a bad baseline rather than a bad result, and the fix is another draw on an ordinary day.

Where the reference intervals come from
The intervals in the table are typical Norwegian adult male intervals, not the ones printed on this report. Several of the nine sit close enough to a bound that a different lab’s numbers would move the flags. Replace them with the issuing lab’s own before treating either flag as meaningful.
